What a beautiful day today. It poured in the morning, then the sun came out and highlighted Rome in all its dramatic glory. Strolled on the elegant Via Guilia, which is kind of like the upper east side of Rome, and stuck to lots of charming backstreets. Nice way to walk off the gelato!

I stumbled across your blog when looking through links on Self.com Last Spring ('06), I spent the semester studying in a small town in Italy. The town is called Orvieto and it is about 1 hour north of Rome. It's a tiny little medieval town, and it is just beautiful! I just thought I should mention it to you because it is definitely worth a visit, though it doesn't have the tourist exposure that other towns have. I terribly miss Orvieto and am moving back next summer :) Hope you enjoy!
